All proceeds from the 2011 Are U ABle? 5K will go to the Foundation for Physical Therapy.  This organization helps fund research in the physical therapy profession.  Since its inception, the Foundation for Physical Therapy has awarded over $12 million dollars in scholarships, fellowships, and grants to physical therapists.  To find out more visit: http://foundation4pt.org/

Dr. Jill Heathcock - Dr. Heathcock from the Ohio State University received a grant from the Foundation for Physical Therapy to study interventions to decrease the occurrence of delays in infants born preterm and infants with neonatal stroke.










Dr. Fay Horak - With the help of a research grant from the Foundation for Physical Therapy, Dr. Horak is working at Oregon Health and Sciences University to develop tools to assess  balance deficits in patients with a variety of conditions such asParkinson's Disease and vestibular dysfunctions.
