The 2011 Are U ABle? 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk and wheelchair race are set for August 20th, 2011! 

Time:
The 5K will begin at 7:30 am and the 1mile fun run/walk/ride will begin at 8:30 am.

Registration Fees and Deadlines

There are three ways to register for the 2011 Are U ABle? 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run.  Participants can register in advance of the race online, mail in a registration form, or participants can register in person the day before or the day of the race.  The online registration deadline is August 18th, at 9:00am, and mailed in registration forms must be received by August 16th.  Anyone deciding to participate after August 18th can simply register the day before or the day of the race.

***In the 5K race, prizes will be awarded to the top overall female and male finishers. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.  Prizes will also be awarded to all wheelchair race participants.

How to Register and Packet Pick Up

• Early registration can be completed online before August 18th at 9:00am at:
  

• Or, you can register early by mailing in a completed registration form and waiver. Click here to download the form.
  

• You can also register in person.  The day before the race, August 19th, you can register at the Trak Shak in Homewood from 12pm to 5:00pm (click for directions).  Thanks, Trak Shak!  Or, you can register the day of the race from 6 - 7:00 am.  If you plan to register the day of the race, all you need to do is show up!

***Race packets can be picked up at at the Trak Shak August 19th, from 12pm to 5pm, or they can be picked up the morning of the race from 6 - 7:00 am.

On Race Day...

The Homewood High School parking lot has ample space, and participants can park anywhere this parking lot for free. 

6:00 am - Race day registration and packet pickup begins

7:00 am - Race day registration closes

7:30 am - 5K begins!

8:30 am - 1 mile fun run/walk/ride begins!

The awards ceremony will begin after the races are finished.  Snacks and refreshments available after the 5K.
